Extra control over cashflow

If your company places a variety of orders with suppliers, it may be hard to keep track of exactly how much cash you'll need in the future to pay the suppliers' invoices. But with a system of Purchase Orders, every order you place with suppliers is logged onto Sage Line 50. So you can see at a glance your expected costs, even before you receive the suppliers' invoices.

Sales Orders can be created each time customers place an order, so they make it easy to track expected sales income. Often invoices are only raised at a later date - particularly if some items cannot be supplied from stock - and so Sales Orders will give a more accurate picture of cashflow than ivoice levels.

Easier to manage complex orders

Sometimes you might supply several different items that are all related to one big order. With Sales Orders, it is easy to group these items together within your accountancy system so you know exactly what they relate to. You'll have more control and save time when it comes to tracking your sales.

Automation of the process of fulfilling customer orders

Sage Accounts Professional automates many of the processes associated with fulfilling a customer order, including showing if the desired items are in stock, allocating stock to specific orders, generating a Purchase Order for any items that can't be fulfilled, creating invoices for items despatched and automatically making the necessary adjustments to the Ledgers and other areas of the software.
